Boone Memorial Health is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team!Every blood draw is more than a procedure—it's an opportunity to provide comfort, reassurance, and quality care to our patients.Essential FunctionsAs a phlebotomist, you'll play a vital role in our laboratory by:Collecting routine, timed, and STAT blood specimensCorrectly identifying patients before specimen collectionProviding compassionate care to patients of all ages—from newborns to geriatricsSafely transporting specimens following infection prevention guidelinesCollecting chain-of-custody specimens when requiredAnswering laboratory phone calls and responding appropriately to patient and staff needsSkills and CompetenciesExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesThe ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environmentGreat time management and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skillsA commitment to patient safety and quality careQualificationsCertification from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant programHigh School Diploma or GEDPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workdayAbility to lift up to 25 pounds when necessaryEqual Employment Opportunity PolicyBoone Memorial Health is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
