Radiology Technologist — Shady Grove Medical Center Responsibilities Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures and explain the procedures. Produce x-ray images of body parts used for diagnosis. Maintain equipment and work area clean and orderly. Ensure exam rooms are stocked with proper supplies. Identify equipment limitations or malfunctions, ensure proper function, and report failures to the manager. Follow department radiation safety procedures and protections. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Perform radiology procedures, following established safety protocols. Use radiation protection and shielding materials. Prepare contrast media and barium as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required). Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program. ARRT® certification and Maryland Radiographer License (required). Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required). Work Schedule Employment type: Full-time Hours per week: 36 hrs Typical daily schedule: 7:00PM – 7:30AM, Wednesday through Friday Shift type: Night Weekend and holiday requirements: None On‑call: No Shift differential eligible: Yes Compensation Hourly salary range: $32.17 – $48.25 Sign‑on bonus: $10,000 paid over three installments (at 90days, 1year, and 2years of hire date).
