Avionics Service TechAre you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private aircraft?Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Avionics Service Tech to join our team!This position is located at our White Plains, NY locationStarting Pay Rate $ 85,120.00 + (based on experience)Duties & ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoots, repairs, modifies and calibrates aircraft electronic systems and componentsCertifies integrated avionic systems and components at intermediate levels utilizing shop avionics support equipment and specialized precision measuring equipmentAnalyzes malfunctions and calibrates and performs maintenance on avionics support equipment using calibration standardsInstalls, aligns and wires electrical and electronic components such as sensors, radio communications, antennas and lightsPerforms continuity checks and functional checkouts of complete aircraft systemsProcess Inspection forms and sign name, as technician, after their work is completedNotify proper authority of any suspected unairworthy conditions found during the performance of their dutiesSets up and operates necessary test equipmentConducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliabilityDemonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising qualityPresents a clean and neat work area to customers facility cleanliness and general housekeepingPerforms other duties as requiredRequired SkillsHigh School diploma or equivalentA&P License4 years of related corporate avionics experienceMust be highly proficient in both troubleshooting/service and installation sides of the roleAdvanced certification in avionics preferredMust be flexible with shift work (3rd shift and one day per weekend)Must be able to stand, sit, and bend for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds.Valid Drivers LicenseProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to pass background check and achieve airport badgeWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
