About the Role

At Varda, we're building the first routine industrial operations in space - and we need our technology to be as reliable as our rockets. As an IT Support Technician, you'll be the person who makes that happen on the ground. You'll own the day-to-day technology experience for engineers, manufacturers, and operators working on cutting-edge spacecraft, keeping every endpoint, application, and network running at mission speed. This is a full-time, exempt position at our El Segundo headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Provision, image, and support macOS and Windows endpoints across the organization - hardware, software, and everything in between.
• Administer Jamf and ThreatLocker to maintain endpoint configuration, patching, and security compliance.
• Own the user lifecycle in Okta and Active Directory - onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and SSO management.
• Support core tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 GCC High, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Smartsheet.
• Maintain conference room AV, office networking (Cisco Meraki), and physical security systems (Kisi, Envoy).
• Monitor and respond to security alerts from CrowdStrike and Zscaler, escalating incidents as needed.
• Manage secure access workflows and credential tooling via 1Password Business.
• Support compliance efforts across Vanta, ITAR, and GCC-High requirements.
• Maintain asset inventory from procurement through disposal.
• Build and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles in Confluence.
• Write scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate provisioning, reporting, and routine operations.
• Own special projects end-to-end, delivering on time with minimal oversight.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years in an IT support or systems administration role.
• Proficiency with macOS and Windows endpoint administration - imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Okta and Active Directory.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
• Strong communicator who can engage technical and non-technical stakeholders equally well.
• Self-starter who manages competing priorities without dropping the ball.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR requirement).

Preferred Qualifications

• Jamf Pro experience for macOS fleet management.
• Familiarity with zero-trust architectures and Zscaler ZPA/ZIA.
• Exposure to AWS and SaaS administration.
• Experience with NIST 800-171, CMMC, or ITAR compliance frameworks.
• Background in a high-growth startup or aerospace environment.

Pay Range

• Level 1: $27.00 - 36.00/per hour
• Level 2: $31.00 - 42.55/per hour
• Level 3: $36.00 - 48.30/per hour
• This role is on-sitein El Segundo, CA
• Leveling and base salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
• You will be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options and/or long-term cash awards
