Dispatch Manager (Chicago South - Transit) Address: 2005 West 43rd Street, Chicago, IL, 60609, US Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00/year Schedule: Full time Job Type: Permanent Highlights 3-5 years Managerial experience in Paratransit Transportation Operations Management Valid Driver's License Strong Microsoft Excel skills required Responsibilities Supervise the daily activities of all dispatchers and oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures as directed by the Client and WeDriveU company policies. Provide staff leadership by promoting and ensuring safe, efficient and effective operations. Ensure that all transit routes are constantly operating and adequately servicing the client’s needs. Make logistical coverage/staffing decisions and communicate them effectively to the rest of the team (dispatchers and client management). Hire (interviews, training, etc.), train and develop new dispatchers. Analyze and interpret ridership numbers and suggest route changes accordingly. Support the development of company policy and procedures. Support the General Manager as needed. Additional duties and responsibilities may apply. Skills Required and Physical Demands Strong Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to prove intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and problem solve. Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures is preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs and be on your feet for an extended period. Additional skills and physical demands may apply. Education and Qualifications 3-5 years managerial experience in Paratransit Transportation Operations Management. Trapeze Software Experience preferred. Work experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM) preferred.
