Prior experience in a security, law enforcement, or school supervisory role is preferred. Skills, Duties and Responsibilities Strong observational and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations. Basic knowledge of traffic control procedures and student behavior management. Must work outdoors under various weather conditions. Must be willing to work additional hours for school events and athletic games. Must possess a clean background check and mandatory certifications required by the district. Traffic Control Direct and manage traffic flow in the school area during morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals. Assist students and parents in safely crossing the road and monitor the school’s parking areas. Student Discipline and Observation Support HS and MS Assistant Principals in handling discipline issues. Monitor student behavior to ensure compliance with school policies. Conduct regular patrols of school grounds to deter and address behavioral or security concerns. Security Management Maintain a visible presence on premises to promote safety. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies following school protocols. Collaborate with administration and local law enforcement to address concerns. Additional Duties Assist supervision during school events, assemblies, and athletic games. Stay for games and after‑school events for additional compensation as required. Prepare and submit reports on incidents and observations to the Principal. Working Conditions Physical Demands Must stand, walk, and direct traffic for extended periods; must handle potential physical confrontations calmly and effectively.
