The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division within our organization is looking for an Intensivist Nocturnist to join the team at Danbury Hospital . Candidates must possess fellowship training and Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The position involves working shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM, totaling 14 shifts each month.

Danbury Hospital , founded in 1885, is a non-profit community hospital dedicated to providing outstanding healthcare to residents in the Greater Danbury area. With 371 beds, it operates as a Level II Trauma Center, handling approximately 70,000 emergency department visits annually. As a teaching facility, we collaborate with several esteemed institutions, including the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Additionally, New Milford Hospital has been serving the Litchfield County community in Connecticut for over a century.

Located in the picturesque foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and bordering New York State, Danbury, Connecticut, is approximately 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. This city, part of the greater New York metropolitan area, offers residents easy access to the vibrant culture of New York City, as well as a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, and boating in nearby parks and preserves. Danbury is also home to Western Connecticut State University and features numerous historical landmarks, museums, theaters, and art galleries.
