Position Overview This part-time social work role involves providing clinical social work services within a specialized Thyroid Center dedicated to children with thyroid conditions. This part-time social work role involves providing clinical social work services within a specialized Thyroid Center dedicated to children with thyroid conditions. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver multidisciplinary care to children and adolescents with thyroid nodules and cancer, including evaluations, diagnostic procedures, surgical support, follow-up, and psychosocial assistance. Conduct psychosocial assessments, offer individual and family coping support, crisis intervention, and resource navigation through in-person and telehealth methods. Collaborate with the thyroid team to address psychosocial issues like coping, treatment adherence, family distress, trauma, and child protection concerns. Assist patients and families in accessing internal and external services and resources. Develop initiatives to support patient and family needs within the Thyroid Center. Coordinate with the Endocrine Mental Health Team for coverage needs. Qualifications Master’s degree in social work. Experience in medical settings and with child protection issues preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong teamwork and communication skills. Licensure: LCSW license required; LICSW preferred.
