Loan Operations Specialist

Job Full Description Job purpose
Loan Operations Specialist II must perform and be proficient in all Loan Operation Specialist I and II duties and responsibilities. This includes reconciling all accounts and general ledgers, booking and posting transactions on participation and SBA loans, and processing all centralized funding responsibilities. Ensures service standards, policies, procedures are adhered to, and client needs are met. This role will handle basic to complex administrative activities. Must be able to operate independently and make appropriate decisions within defined authority.
Duties and responsibilities
• Processes all activities related to collateral management: securing, maintaining, and releasing security interest on new and existing loans.
• Processes all activities related to filing and scanning activities for new loan transactions and modifications to existing transactions.
• Processes all activities related to new and renewed loan booking.
• Processes all activities related to insurance requirements.
• Processes all activities related to loan file maintenance.
• Processes all activities related to loan reconciliations.
• Processes all activities related to reviewing and validating commercial and consumer documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Processes all activities related to reviewing and validating commercial and consumer accuracy to the loan system of record.
• Process all activities related to participation booking and transaction posting.
• Process all activities related to SBA booking and transaction posting.
• Process all activities related to centralized funding.
• Ensures compliance with loan policies, credit requirements, procedures, and transaction documentation requirements.
• Partner with all operational and client facing employees to resolve loan account related issues and ensure compliance with established bank policy.
• Provide ongoing processing support for the Bank's various technology options.
• Demonstrate professional behavior that supports team efforts and enhances team behavior, performance, and productivity.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Bank's mission and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
• 2+ year experience supporting loan activities.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Accounting preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of loan processes, documentation, operations, and basic loan accounting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and or documentation processes; Proficiency with MS Office applications. Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. #2327OS Mobile, AL
