The Welder/Fabricator plays a critical role in the production of large, industrial mixing equipment. This position requires a skilled professional who is proficient in cutting, prepping, grinding, and welding stainless steel materials. The Welder/fabricator will interpret complex blueprints and drawings to cut, machine, bend, and TIG weld metals to precise specifications, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy.The ideal candidate is a problem solver, capable of multi-tasking and maintaining a high focus on quality throughout the fabrication process. This role demands a strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team. Working primarily with steel materials, the Welder/Fabricator must demonstrate initiative, craftsmanship, and the ability to deliver top-tier results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains a clean and safe work area and complies with the company's safety requirements while meeting time estimates as assigned to each jobPlans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the jobRepairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, heating, and welding techniques and equipmentMonitors the welding, heating, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkagePrepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be weldedMaintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work areaNotifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discoveredPractice 6S principles dailyComplete all applicable documentation for current operationsMachining and weld prepping of raw materials; ability to operate a band saw and Bridgeport-style milling machine.Performs other related duties as assigned  Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repairBasic understanding of design techniques, principles, drawings, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprintsExcellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of formsBasic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignmentsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailMust be able to weld components that are vertical, horizonal, or overheadMust have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision workMust be able to see details at close rangeAbility to lift 50+ poundsDemonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues and co-workers, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive diverse team environment   Credentials and Experience:High School graduate or GED equivalentCompletion of a formal apprenticeship OR successful completion of an in-company, three-year training program required or;5+ years tig welding experience 3+ years fabrication experienceWho We Are:We're Admix, a fast-growing employee-owned* manufacturing company specializing in industrial mixing equipment!
