Job DescriptionJob Description Job Description Orchard Park Family Practice, a large, dynamic Family Practice located in Orchard Park and Depew NY, has a current job opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant.Orchard Park Family Practice is seeking a Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position at a medical office, medical terminology knowledge, and exhibits initiative and self-motivation with the ability to effectively problem solve while working in a team atmosphere.The ideal candidate will have superb customer service skills, empathy, patience and the ability to reassure and calm concerned patients. We seek an individual who possesses a broad knowledge of medical terminology, exhibits excellent verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to work within a team.Responsibilities & DutiesReview of daily provider schedulesTaking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records systemLearning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentationWorking with a Provider to complete and submit medical recordsCommunicating with patients and Providers professionallyCompleting all administrative tasks efficiently and helping the Provider order testsHelping electronically prescribe medication for patientsProviding a safe patient care environmentAbility to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointmentsAdvanced computer skillsStrong organization, multitasking and time management skillsAbility to handle high-pressure situations effectivelyGood bedside manner and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentCareer Level Required Experienced (Non-Manager)Competitive salary and benefit package offered includes:Health Insurance - 4 different plans offered.
