Hiawatha Care Center is actively hiring a Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. The Cook plays an important role in supporting resident health and satisfaction by preparing meals that meet dietary requirements and quality standards. As a Cook, you will work closely with the dietary team to provide a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Schedule and Employment Type

• Full-Time Days (5:30AM - 1:45PM) & (10:45AM - 7PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes

• Follow therapeutic diet requirements and physician orders

• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

• Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness

• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure excellent meal service

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational and teamwork skills
