Remote based out of Tampa/FL

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with Cybersecurity/AI to support a pilot project for one of our pharmaceutical clients based in Florida.

Pay rate of $75.00 w2.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project management activities
• Manage complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Drive

  rapid

  project startup, planning, issue identification, and resolution.
• Coordinate across global teams.
• Work closely with project leads as they are identified by the client organization.
• Focus on execution, coordination, and delivery rather than program-level oversight.

Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on project management skills, including the ability to "herd cats," drive actions, manage dependencies, and keep projects moving forward.
• Experience leading complex projects and navigating challenging situations.
• Must demonstrate perseverance, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and stakeholder groups
• Candidates should be receptive to feedback and capable of quickly course-correcting when necessary.
• Comfortable handling frequent "fire drills" and evolving priorities.

Methodology & Technical Environment

• Experience with SAFe Agile, Agile, and Scrum is required.
• Must be pragmatic and not overly rigid in applying Agile frameworks, as the role is a hybrid of Agile delivery and traditional project management.
• Strong focus on identifying issues, facilitating resolution, and driving accountability.

Preferred Experience

• Pharmaceutical/Medical Devices/Life Sciences/Biotech experience is strongly preferred
• Previous experience in similar enterprise environments is beneficial.

Location & Travel

• Remote role
• US-based (onshore) candidate required
• Eastern Time Zone Required
• Little to no immediate travel expected; however, travel may be requested by the client, likely on a quarterly basis for approximately 3 days at a time

Senior Project / Program Manager – AI & Cybersecurity

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project / Program Manager who thrives in fast-paced, highly technical environments and can quickly immerse themselves in complex initiatives with minimal ramp-up time. This role requires a strategic delivery leader who can effectively navigate ambiguity, establish structure, drive accountability, and deliver clear, actionable reporting to technical and executive stakeholders.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate execution across two high-visibility AI and cybersecurity initiatives:

• Project Daybreak – A controlled six-week frontier AI model cybersecurity pilot in partnership with OpenAI and external delivery partners.
• AI Model Intake & Security Validation Platform – A strategic initiative establishing governance, security validation, and onboarding processes for external AI/ML models used within Research environments.

This role sits at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, digital trust, and research organizations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on program leader who can rapidly understand technical dependencies, build execution plans, maintain momentum across cross-functional teams, and provide exceptional documentation and executive reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent AI and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Quickly assess project status, identify risks, and establish actionable delivery plans.
• Drive alignment across Cybersecurity & Digital Trust, Research, Engineering, AI/ML, AWS platform teams, and external partners.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
• Facilitate decision-making and proactively remove blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
• Ensure initiatives remain aligned with strategic business objectives and organizational priorities.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Serve as the primary coordination point between technical teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and external partners.
• Translate highly technical concepts into clear business language for executive audiences.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, status updates, and decision-ready materials.
• Conduct leadership briefings and governance meetings while driving accountability for commitments and deliverables.

Documentation & Reporting Excellence

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including:
• Project plans
• RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
• Executive dashboards
• Status reports
• Meeting notes and action tracking
• Decision logs
• Produce concise, accurate, and timely reporting that enables leadership visibility and informed decision-making.
• Establish reporting frameworks and governance processes where needed.

Risk, Governance & Operational Readiness

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Drive readiness planning for pilot execution, security reviews, stakeholder approvals, and operational transitions.
• Escalate issues appropriately while presenting mitigation strategies and recommended actions.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and security requirements are incorporated into delivery plans.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of project and program management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.
• Proven experience managing large-scale technology, cybersecurity, cloud, or digital transformation programs.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly come up to speed in unfamiliar environments and deliver results with minimal oversight.
• Strong experience managing cross-functional teams involving engineering, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Exceptional organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing executive-level reporting, dashboards, presentations, and strategic communications.
• Strong risk management, dependency management, and governance experience.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving, and highly visible environments.
• Experience with Agile, hybrid, and traditional project delivery methodologies.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, generative AI, or model governance initiatives.
• Background working with cybersecurity, risk management, digital trust, or security engineering teams. xhyhwjd
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Experience partnering with research organizations, data science teams, or AI platform teams.
• PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or comparable project management certifications (preferred)
