Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, subdural hematomas, and neurosurgical patients
• Patient ratios of 1:6 with a daily census of approximately 50 patients
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Contract lengths of 20+ weeks available through February 27, 2027
• 36 hours of unit orientation provided; navy scrubs required
• Floating required to other Medical Surgical/Telemetry areas as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical Surgical experience (required)
• Previous travel experience required – first-time travelers will not be accepted; must have completed at least 2 successful travel contracts
• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Active certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with neurological patient populations strongly preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
