Restaurant Manager

Location: Southern New Jersey

We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at a fast-paced, counter-service barbecue restaurant. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who can deliver excellent guest service, maintain high food quality standards, and drive sales while managing labor, costs, and overall restaurant performance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service, consistent food quality, and a positive guest experience.

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders.

• Maintain high standards for food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.

• Manage scheduling, labor costs, inventory, ordering, and waste control.

• Monitor sales, food costs, labor performance, and other key operating metrics.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained restaurant environment.

• Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally.

• Build a positive team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.

• Support local marketing, community engagement, and initiatives to grow sales.

• Work closely with leadership to achieve financial goals and improve operational performance.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in fast-casual, quick-service, or high-volume dining.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

• Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and restaurant financials.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to lead by example in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
