Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in New York State
• Proven experience in emergency or acute care nursing
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and clinical tools
• Knowledge of emergency protocols, patient safety, and triage procedures

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Experience with mental health assessments and crisis intervention
• Bilingual skills to serve diverse patient populations
• Leadership or charge nurse experience in an emergency setting

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree highly preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience
• Previous experience in a chest pain or stroke center is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Commitment to patient safety and excellent customer service
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives
