Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title: IMC/PCU/Stepdown - RN (Travel Contract) Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Daly 6B Unit) Location: Springfield, Massachusetts (Baystate Medical Center) Shift: Nights Target Start Date: 09/07/2026 VMS Req ID: 299267 Position Summary Medical Intermediate Care Unit (Daly 6B) featuring 42 beds split evenly between medical-tele (21 beds) and medical step-down (21 beds). Expected ratios are 1:3 for intermediate care and 1:6 for medical. Patient cases include PNA, COPD exacerbation, DKA, HHS, ETOH withdrawal, GIB, Sepsis, PE, UTI, and respiratory failure. Floating to other units may occur, and nurses work across both sides of the floor.
