$35–$40/hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Maintain a smoke-free and vape-free environment. Maintain a substance-free environment. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Reliable personal transportation required; mileage reimbursement provided. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Ability to navigate stairs and a steep driveway. Comfortable around dogs.

About Our Family

Based in Bend, we're a warm, active, high-energy family of four—complete with two independent school-age children (ages 9 and 12) and a beloved older dog. Both parents are incredibly driven professionals with high-demand careers—one works from home, while the other works out of the family's rented office space. With frequent work-related travel for both, never at the same time, the rhythm of the home shifts depending on who is home and what's going on.

We care deeply about a well-run, highly organized home and a healthy environment where our family can flourish. We love fresh, whole foods, daily movement, spending time outdoors, and spaces that feel calm and reset. While we have some systems in place, with two children and a packed, ever-shifting schedule, keeping everything on track has become overwhelming and is impacting our quality time together.

Although we have regular house cleaners, we're looking for a highly seasoned, proactive house manager who can fill in the gaps in between—starting with creating and maintaining meaningful systems in our home, tackling laundry and dishes, handling organizational projects (art cabinet, toys, playroom, kitchen pantry/fridge, closets), resetting spaces, and supporting the after-school transition, so we can focus on what matters most to us: having the time to be truly present as a family and ensuring our home feels like a calm, relaxing space where we can recharge.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are a proactive, detail-oriented house manager who has seen it all and quickly notices what needs attention—laundry that needs to be started, dishes that have piled up, drawers, closets, and cabinets that could use a better system, and spaces that need to be reset—and you handle it seamlessly, without being asked. You are also emotionally intelligent and can easily read the room, using good judgment to know what needs to happen and when.

You understand the importance of showing up on time, communicating clearly, creating meaningful systems that truly hold up, and taking quiet pride in a refreshed, organized household that runs smoothly. You are also warm, professional, enthusiastic about working with school-age children, and you understand how to work respectfully within a family household. Your energy is efficient and grounded—you would describe yourself as calm, self-directed, and comfortable jumping into a new space, immediately building systems and creating order.

Our ideal fit naturally anticipates needs, has calm, positive energy, takes professional boundaries seriously, and has excellent time management skills. You can also balance competing priorities with ease, are comfortable managing complex family schedules, and are able to read cues from the family's rhythms—you know when it's appropriate to step in or step back. You must have experience and truly enjoy working with school-age children (ages 9 and 12), whether that means helping with homework, coordinating playdates, or enjoying a fun bike ride to the park, and feel aligned with a lifestyle that values health, wellness, and active, intentional living.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support & Child Assistance

• After-school transition support: unpacking and repacking lunch boxes and activity bags, and helping kids settle in after school, including engaging in meaningful homework support
• Coordinating and facilitating play dates, including pick-ups and drop-offs
• Light supervision and back-up childcare
• Driving kids to after school sports
• Staying plugged into kids' schedules via a shared calendar

Household Organization & Maintenance

• Creating and maintaining household organization systems throughout the home
• Daily resets to keep common areas tidy and prepping the home before the biweekly cleaner arrives
• Light tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas
• Organizational projects: playroom, art supplies, books, kids' clothing, kitchen, pantry, closets, drawers, and more

Inventory & Errands

• Restocking pantry, fridge, and household supplies
• Managing a running household supply list
• Mail and package handling, breaking down boxes
• Ad hoc errands (pharmacy runs, library book drop, ingredients)

Meal Support

• Mid-week grocery shopping to restock essentials
• Prepping healthy snacks for the children after school
• Light meal prep: washing and prepping produce, getting dinner started
• Kitchen clean-up and ongoing maintenance
• Support kitchen prep for work-related content creation

Laundry & Linens

• Washing, folding, and organizing laundry for the household
• Keeping the laundry area tidy and well-stocked

Pet Care

• Overseeing that the kids feed and take out the dog after school

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

• Occasional deep-clean projects: fridge, washing machine maintenance
• One-off organizational projects as they come up
