Sleep Center On Call/Casual Team MemberDue to continued growth and expansion of our Sleep Center services, we are adding an on call/casual team member at our main St. Paul campus. We are seeking qualified candidates for one of the following roles:Polysomnographic Technologist I (RST with RRT/CRT credential) or Polysomnographic Technologist II (RPSGT credential)Straight night shifts; available to pick up Monday-Friday and Sunday consisting of 10–12-hour shifts.The Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the direction of a physician. This includes polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education. This position would include the ability to do advanced testing of tracheostomy/ventilator patients, children under 2 years of age needing noninvasive positive pressure ventilation, and end stage neuromuscular patients.Compensation & Benefits InformationThe hourly wage for a Polysomnographer Tech I with RRT is $34.65 to $52.00, with a median wage of $43.33.The hourly wage for a Polysomnographer Tech II with RPSGT Certification is $37.99 to $56.98, with a median wage of $47.49.Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. $1.75 weekend $2.35/evening. $4.00/ night differential is available for this position.Core Responsibilities and DutiesInformation – Finds, effectively uses and provides information as needed.Awareness of the current plans of care.Demonstrated understanding of age and developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.Documents accurately and in real time.Responds to changing patient priorities.Provides patient and family education resulting in high quality diagnostic testing and outcomes.Accurate and Efficient Work - Demonstrates accuracy, efficiency, and completeness in products and processes. Must be credentialed through the National Board for Respiratory Care and license eligible in the State of MN.Completion of a minimum of 960 hours of clinical experience that includes on-site polysomnography duties performed as direct patient record and/or scoring within 18 months from time of hire.Current allied health credential as listed under Accepted Allied Health Credentials. The CPSGT Credential is not accepted as a healthcare credential for this pathway.Eligible to take the exam for certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 18 months from time of hire.Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association).Required Polysomnographer Technologist IISuccessful completion of a Polysomnography program, of no less than one year's duration, associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association).At Gillette Children's, we foster a culture where every team member feels a sense of belonging and purpose.
