Enterprise Architect

The Enterprise Architect role within ITS focuses on providing tactical coordination and operational support for data governance pilots, intake processes, and standards rollout. This senior-level position involves working closely with business, IT, and program stakeholders to support governance operations, data management, and modernization projects, ensuring alignment with statewide data governance policies and standards. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate pilot implementation across various programs.
• Support governance intake workflows and follow-up actions.
• Track checklist compliance, onboarding progress, and standards adoption.
• Support modernization projects by embedding Data Governance guidance.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, meeting notes, and action item tracking.
• Coordinate with data stewards, business teams, IT, and project stakeholders.

• 5-10 years of experience in program coordination, governance operations, data management, or business operations.
• Strong documentation, tracking, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across business and IT stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science.
• Valid Right to Represent documentation as required.
• Security clearance including fingerprinting and onboarding compliance.
• Highly desired certifications: CDMP, PMP, or equivalent data governance/project management certification.

• Experience with Health and Human Services, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting modernization, reporting, data governance, or standards-related initiatives.
• Familiarity with dashboards, data inventories, business glossaries, metadata, data quality tracking, SQL, or data queries.
• Preferred certifications: DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DCAM Certification, PMP, or CAPM.

• State of North Dakota requires fingerprinting and full onboarding compliance.
• Must provide valid Right to Represent documentation and candidate resume with full legal name.
• Onboarding status will be monitored and indicated on the Onboarding Checklist.

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
• Estimated start date: October 5, 2026.
• Estimated duration: 12 months (1 year from projected start date).
• Hybrid work preferred; remote work may be considered.
