About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Fleet & Asset Management to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full life cycle of the company's assets, with a strong focus on financial discipline and data-driven decision-making. This includes asset acquisition and disposition, shop operations, maintenance and reliability, standardization, and fleet economics. The role demands a leader who can build and develop a strong team, partner with the executive leadership to manage the fleet as a financial portfolio, and ensure that the fleet is more predictable, productive, and profitable each year. Key performance indicators will include reliability, utilization, returns on capital, cost discipline, and safety. Applicants must have a background in asset-heavy industries, with a preference for those with experience in equipment rental, power generation, heavy equipment, or industrial fleets. The ideal candidate will be a people developer, have deep fleet operations experience, and a strong standardization mindset. They should be adept at using telematics and monitoring data to drive maintenance and asset decisions and be capable of scaling shop and maintenance operations through rapid growth. The role requires a proactive, impactful individual who is committed to the values of the company, including a people-first approach, a proactive maintenance strategy, and a focus on simplicity and standardization.
