Store Manager

Location: Merrillville Ace Hardware

Reports to: Owner/Operator
Overview:

Merrillville Ace Hardware is seeking a hands-on Store

Manager who will take ownership of store operations, drive sales, and lead a

team focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience. This is a

full-time, leadership role ideal for someone with a retail management

background and a passion for community-based service.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations & Leadership
•- Manage daily operations including

opening/closing, merchandising, and customer service
•- Lead and support the team to meet sales goals,

control costs, and drive overall store performance
•- Ensure the store is fully stocked, clean,

organized, and "Customer Ready" at all times
Customer Experience
•- Promote a culture of service and ensure every

customer has a positive in-store experience
•- Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and

professionally
•- Oversee the implementation of Ace Rewards and

other promotional programs
Team Management
•- Train, and develop store associates
•- Delegate daily responsibilities and set clear

expectations
•- Motivate the team through coaching, feedback,

and accountability
Inventory & Merchandising
•- Maintain accurate inventory counts and manage

product replenishment
•- Execute seasonal floor sets, promotional

signage, and end cap displays
•- Monitor shrink and implement best practices to

reduce loss
Maintenance & Safety
•- Oversee store appearance, repairs, and

preventative maintenance
•- Ensure safety protocols and company standards

are followed
Qualifications:
•- High school diploma or GED required; college

preferred
•- 2+ years of retail management experience,

hardware knowledge a plus
•- Strong leadership, time management, and

communication skills
•- Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for

extended periods
•- Proficient in retail systems and POS

technology (Eagle, Acenet, etc.)
