1st Shift Warehouse Porter *Perishable & Frozen ONLY facility*

Pay and Hours Earn $16 per hour + $1.50 cooler freezer pay 1st shift, FT, Sun-Thurs, 6:00 a.m. until completion 3100 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, Texas 77021 Training will be 1-2 weeks on 2nd shift Job Duties Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc. Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures Physical Demands Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc. Frequently lifting product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more Frequent lifting product ranging from floor to overhead Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools Benefits Paid training provided Weekly Pay Benefits available from day 1 (medical, dental, vision, company matched 401k) PTO and Holiday Pay offered In certain locations C&S offers $100 towards the purchase of safety shoes Career Progression Opportunities Tuition Reimbursement Employee Health & Wellness program Employee Discounts / Purchasing programs Employee Assistance Program Work Environment Perishable (Refrigerated) – about 28°- 60° Frozen – about -20° - 0° Qualifications Attendance General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies High School Diploma - General Studies Initiative Productivity Quality Safety Values Shift 1st Shift (United States of America) Company GSC Wholesale LLC About Our Company Grocers Supply, based in Houston, is the largest wholesale grocery supplier in Texas, supplying over 900 independent grocery stores.
