Kelemen & Stephens, PLLC is seeking an experienced CPA who is ready for the next step in their career—not just another accounting position. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned public accounting professional to join a respected Virginia CPA firm with a clear path toward ownership and long-term leadership.
We're looking for a relationship-driven CPA who enjoys advising clients, mentoring team members, and contributing to the growth of a successful practice. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to build something lasting and play a meaningful role in the future of the firm.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, and individual clients
- Review and oversee complex individual, corporate, partnership, non-profit, and trust tax returns
- Provide strategic tax planning and business consulting services
- Lead client engagements and maintain strong long-term relationships
- Mentor and develop accounting staff
- Help drive firm growth through client retention, referrals, and business development
- Participate in operational and strategic planning initiatives
- Collaborate with firm leadership on succession planning and future ownership opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Active CPA license required
- 10-15+ years of public accounting experience
- Strong expertise in tax planning, compliance, and client advisory services
- Experience managing client relationships and reviewing tax engagements
- Leadership experience supervising and developing staff
- Excellent communication and business development skills
- Desire to pursue a future ownership opportunity
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a long-term commitment to client service
