Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic procedures within the provider's scope of practice and clinical privileges.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, treat, and follow up with patients; develop individualized care plans.Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory work.Perform therapeutic procedures within scope and privileges, including injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.Collaborate with physicians on complex cases and interdisciplinary treatment planning.Educate and counsel patients regarding treatment, health maintenance, and lifestyle considerations.Assist physicians with emergency treatments and complex procedures.Maintain accurate patient records and document care in the EMR.Compile reports, maintain applicable statistics, and participate in research or quality activities as needed.Serve as a resource and mentor for APPs across the practice.Support APP recruitment, onboarding, training, and development, including ModMed workflows and best practices.Collaborate with the Medical Director to train APPs on treatment algorithms, clinical policies, LCDs, and pain management best practices.Supervise APP staff and conduct performance evaluations according to established timelines.Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare, safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications RequiredCompletion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner programCurrent Florida PA or NP license in good standingCurrent BCLS certificationCurrent DEA license without restrictionsAbility to collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providersExcellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and patient-service skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareAbility to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populationsCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered carePreferredPain management, interventional pain, or relevant specialty experienceExperience with minimally invasive proceduresACLS certificationPrevious APP leadership, supervision, mentorship, or training experienceExperience with ModMed or similar EMR systemsExperience with clinical protocols, treatment algorithms, or evidence-based practicesBenefitsHealth, Dental & Vision InsuranceHospital Indemnity InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Sick Time OffCompany-Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement PlanBonusly Employee Recognition ProgramDailyPay - On-Demand Pay AccessOpportunities for AdvancementOn-the-Job TrainingJoin Our Team If you're a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care while growing as a clinical leader, we'd love to hear from you.
