CDL Delivery Driver - Columbus, Ohio

JFC International, Inc., 700 Dearborn Park Lane, Columbus, OH 43085 Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations in and out of state. This is a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner. Job Duties: Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles into restaurants and grocery stores Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Down stack and sort pallets to ensure accurate delivery to customer Safely operate company vehicles, such as refrigerated truck. Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries Use equipment such as pallet jacks, hand dolly or other tools to assist with loading and unloading Communicate effective with dispatchers, customers, and team members Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions Weekly overnight delivery trips are required Follow all JFC and DOT regulations. Collect payment from customers. Other related duties. At least 2 years previous experience as a Delivery Driver, preferably in restaurant, grocery, or retail delivery. Special Requirements: Familiarity with various delivery vehicles, such as box trucks and refrigerated truck Ability to operate equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately Knowledge of route planning, navigation systems, and electronic logs. Must be able to read, write and speak English Dependable work ethic Ability to work independently and in team settings Must be able to prioritize and adjust to immediate workload requirements Class A CDL or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record Lifting/carrying up to about 75 lbs (sacks of rice) Pushing/pulling over 80 - 100 lbs. Knowledge of DOT and CDL Regulations Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
