Parts & Service Assistant Department: Parts Employment Type: Full Time Location: Vermeer All Roads - Laurel Description Fantastic opportunity for a Parts & Service Assistant at Vermeer All Roads. This position is designed to assist our customers with in the parts & service departments. Bring your parts knowledge (service is a plus) into the position with an opportunity to learn and grow. We are looking for a go-getter who can wear many hats! Compensation $18 - $23/hr based on experience Schedule, dealership is open Monday - Friday 7 am-5 pm Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, life and supplemental insurance offerings on the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment 401k with company contribution Paid time off Company paid holidays Tuition Reimbursement program Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting required parts when needed Assist Manager with writing service work orders and communicating with shop technicians Operate the forklift as needed Utilize CDK for parts and labor/service information Provide price quotes, receive payments, and obtain credit authorizations Answer incoming calls, answer parts questions and schedule service for the customers Document repair and service orders in the correct fashion Assist in stocking, shipping and receiving parts All other duties as assigned Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 50 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 80 lbs. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required Heavy Equipment experience is preferred, truck or automotive is a plus.
