Mel’s Auto Body is hiring an Automotive Detailer to join our team in Rapid City. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get started in the automotive industry—no prior detailing experience required.

In this role, you’ll help prepare vehicles before repairs and make sure they’re clean, detailed, and ready for delivery back to customers. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized, and can keep up in a fast-paced shop environment.

What You’ll Do

• Pre-wash vehicles before they enter the repair process
• Perform basic pre-scan diagnostics and document vehicle condition with photos
• Clean and detail vehicles after repairs are completed
• Vacuum interiors, wipe down surfaces, clean windows, and complete final detailing
• Assist with post-repair diagnostic scans
• Help ensure vehicles are fully ready for customer pickup

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to stay on task in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team
