About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Estimator to join our team in Tyrone, GA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building accurate, competitive quotes across machining, fabrication, stamping, and welding projects.
You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and customers to turn technical drawings into clear, data-driven cost estimates. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with numbers, and being at the center of how projects come together, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
What You’ll Do
- Develop accurate cost estimates for machining, fabrication, stamping, and welding projects
- Review engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine materials, labor, and processes
- Define manufacturing methods, routing steps, setup/run times, and tooling requirements
- Prepare detailed quotes including materials, outside services, and lead times
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to validate costs
- Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and timelines
- Maintain estimating templates, quote logs, and cost data for consistency
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in estimating or manufacturing engineering
- Background in metal stamping, machining, fabrication, or welding
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers
Nice to Have
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Knowledge of outside processing (plating, coating, heat treating, etc.)
- Familiarity with material utilization, nesting, or multi-process estimating
- Experience with post-job cost analysis and continuous improvement
