Press Brake Operator Pay Rate and Hours:

• $18/hr
• Monday- Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm

Press Brake Operator Job Description:

• Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• This role requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings.
• Select proper tooling and machine settings for each job.
• Measure, inspect, and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform adjustments, offsets, and program edits as needed to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Press Brake Operator Skills:

• Previous experience operating press brakes
• Above average math skills
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bending characteristics
• Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours a day
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
