Research Analyst

Purpose and Scope

This position analyzes data, assists in designing data collection methods, and assists others on program evaluation and reporting requirements to facilitate the Research team's functions within the organization.

Essential Job Functions

1. Determines type, scope, and purpose of analyses through discussions with management.
2. Leads research and analysis projects designated by the Research Manager, if needed.
3. Collaborates with other analysts, advisors and management to complete assigned project work.
4. Supports other departments and external partners by fulfilling routine and ad hoc data and analysis requests to support research agenda, program evaluation efforts and data-driven decision-making.
5. Deals with complex problems and provides solutions that are innovative and ingenious, achieving quality and work process improvements.
6. Ensures that project goals and activities are in sync with and support the broader goals and objectives of the organization.
7. Directs and assists in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations.
8. Provides data analysis and data collection support (such as survey design, administration and analysis) to Research and Performance Management team.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree related to research and analysis plus additional research or program experience, where education and experience total a minimum of seven (7) years. A degree in social or behavioral sciences, psychology, education, public health or policy is preferred. Experience developing analyses and handling large data sets is preferred.: experience translating between English and Spanish or Arabic is preferred; Master's degree is preferred. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor's Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master's Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.
