Division: Solutions Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Employment Type: Full Time Shift: (2B) Thur‑Sat & alternating Wed 3:30 pm–3 am Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities assigned on a daily basis. Under the Operations Supervisor, the coordinator provides oversight of associates dedicated to warehousing, receiving, and shipping of products, ensuring performance, safety, and quality objectives are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities to achieve customer demand. Train associates on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control. Assist with forklift operation and certification for associates. Oversee unloading of inbound shipments, stacking, picking, and staging of outbound shipments at high productivity levels. Verify inbound/outbound paperwork and ensure all products are properly counted. Load orders accurately onto appropriate doors and trailers. Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined in SOPs. Investigate discrepancies in shipping and receiving processes. Maintain a professional appearance and communication style. Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person. Prepare activity reports accurately for site management. Use documentation to ensure products and orders are received, shipped, and picked correctly. Verify quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and perform packaging, shrink‑wrapping, and labeling. Report inconsistencies to the Operations Supervisor or Manager. Participate in quality meetings. Understand and comply with ISO standards affecting the role, department, and company. Execute all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment. Keep the warehouse clean, neat, and orderly; assist in security. Participate in safety meetings. Lead the warehouse work team to meet objectives. Assist associates and temporary labor with productivity sheets, payroll hours, and staffing schedules. Ensure tasks are assigned and completed properly. Participate in department meetings and initiate actions to prevent non‑conformities. Maintain and report equipment (including forklifts, reach trucks, sweeper scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, aisle masters, pallet jacks). Perform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance. Operate equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods. Maintain an active forklift certification. Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as guided by site management, including answering phones, scheduling, visitor greeting, filing, and record keeping. Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed. Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary. Supervisory Responsibilities None Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or related environment. Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE). Comfortably work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Computer and Technical Skills Basic computer skills. Use of RF scanners. Familiarity with WMS functions. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal). Mathematical Skills Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and performing related duties. Preferred Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment. 2–4 years of proven forklift experience. Current or prior MHE certification. Physical Demands Occasional hand & finger manipulation, sitting, handling product, and packaging materials. Frequent bending. Constant walking and standing. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel. Work Environment The work environment has low to moderate noise levels and minimal exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Compensation Expected base pay: $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
