Inflammation Research - In Vivo Pharmacology Scientist

Amgen seeks a Senior Scientist for its Inflammation Research In Vivo Pharmacology group. The role involves designing and executing preclinical studies to evaluate drug target pharmacology, generating data to support research advancement, and providing technical expertise to therapeutic area teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and lead in vivo preclinical studies and ex vivo analyses independently and collaboratively
• Execute cutting-edge in vivo pharmacology experiments and data analysis supporting the inflammation pipeline
• Utilize animal models to validate and accelerate molecules through the research pipeline
• Collaborate with therapeutic area scientists to plan and communicate in vivo results aligned with project goals

Requirements

• PhD in immunology, biology, pharmacology, or related discipline
• Hands-on expertise with rodent handling and in vivo dosing routes (i.v., i.p., p.o., i.d., s.c., i.t.)
• Significant experience designing and executing preclinical inflammation and autoimmune disease models
• Essential expertise in multicolor flow cytometry including spectral approaches and immune cell populations
• Hands-on experience with ex vivo and in vitro assays (ELISA, MSD, Western blot, qRT-PCR)
• Proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Demonstrated independent critical thinking and scientific achievement
