The parents typically both work from home at present (the mother is currently on maternity leave). The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term role where they can help provide safety, stability and consistency for this child, be a loving and encouraging part of the family, supportive of parent-child time together, and provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment in which the child can thrive and develop. Responsibilities Responsibilities will change over time as the child grows and will include general childcare responsibilities such as doing the child's laundry, keeping the child's toys neat and bedroom and play areas tidy and clean, organizing and preparing the child's bottles, snacks, and meals, seeking out activities for the child, planning and accompanying to play-dates when needed, and bath, naps, and bedtime. The household includes a very friendly mini Bernadoodle and the candidate must be comfortable working with this sweet dog who needs to be walked occasionally, fed in the evenings when the parents are out, and let into the yard. The ideal candidate is warm, friendly, flexible, proactive but also happy to be part of a team, committed to transparent and open communication with the family, respectful of the family's childrearing philosophy, will cultivate a routine that is helpful for each family member, and overall be a positive and encouraging part of the child’s and family's lives. Experience Requirements 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references Must have prior experience working with infants Educational Requirements Fluency in English Qualifications COVID-vaccinated including recent booster Flu, Tb and Tdap vaccines CPR Certified Valid driver with clean record (family can usually provide a vehicle for work-related driving with advance notice or will reimburse for mileage) Direct and excellent communication skills Flexibility to occasionally work evenings/weekends Willingness to occasionally travel or do overnights Active and energetic Loving, kind, genuine Motivated and professional in conduct Understands child psychology and stages of development Experienced / knowledgeable in baby-led weaning Positive discipline skills Self-starter / takes initiative to plan activities Discrete / respects family's confidentiality Can make a long-term commitment and ideally grow with the family Responsibilities Responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment Engaging in age appropriate activities and play Effective and transparent communication with parents; following parent's childrearing practices Prepare healthy meals for child; supervise baby-led weaning Inventory and purchase of child's equipment and household supplies Childcare: cleaning and washing, folding and putting away child's clothing, bedding, toys, and accessories, keeping child's areas clean and neat, preparing child's snacks and meals Child’s laundry: including washing, folding and putting away (occasionally moving family laundry from washer to dryer, or folding what is in the dryer) Light tidying; making sure common areas are neat Keep family up to date on child or household items that need to be restocked Occasionally walking and feeding the dog Apply Now #J-18808-Ljbffr Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing
