Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is in search of a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team remotely. This full-time position will allow you to provide essential mental health services for individuals undergoing detoxification, focusing on the critical transition from substance use to recovery. With a salary range of USD 60,000 to USD 104,000 per year, this role is designed for professionals who aim to make a substantial impact on the lives of their clients.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, offering you the flexibility to conduct your sessions from the comfort of your home, while still engaging fully with a dynamic team dedicated to mental health care. You will be working in collaboration with various professionals who share a common goal of fostering recovery and improving patient outcomes. Regular virtual meetings and supervision ensure that you are supported, connected, and informed.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for clients entering the detox center, detailing their psychological health and readiness for recovery.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on emotional wellness, coping strategies, and successful drug-free living.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and support, utilizing approaches that address various mental health issues, particularly in the context of substance use and recovery.
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, targeting personal development, emotional regulation, and resilience.
  • Collaborating with medical professionals, social workers, and case managers to ensure a cohesive approach to each client's care.
  • Offering crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress or relapse.
  • Delivering psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available for ongoing support.
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skill set and ensure quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients facing challenges related to substance use disorders, including co-occurring mental health conditions. You will engage with individuals at various stages of their recovery journey, providing the necessary support to navigate their mental health needs during and after detoxification. This role is essential in supporting clients' reintegration into a healthy and sober lifestyle.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field—enhanced by further education such as a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a similar mental health setting.
  • A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and treatment for substance use disorders.
  • Strong capabilities in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience in providing therapy within a detox or addiction recovery setting is highly valued. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches will set candidates apart. Candidates should also possess crisis intervention skills, demonstrating a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
