Job Description About This Role This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated teaching team and play a vital role in shaping the early learning experiences of our young students. Our esteemed Cub Care Children's Center, a Quality Stars NY participant with a four-star rating, has been delivering exceptional early childhood education programs since 1998. We seek a highly skilled and compassionate individual who will work collaboratively with our team to create a nurturing environment that fosters social skills, creativity, and lifelong learning. As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to contribute to the development of engaging lesson plans and activities that promote children's growth and well-being.

What You'll Do

As a valued member of our teaching team, you will possess the skills and qualities necessary to excel in this role. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating closely with the Lead Teacher to coordinate activities and ensure seamless execution of lesson plans. Preparing and organizing high-quality learning materials to meet the needs of our students. Supporting the implementation of weekly lesson plans to help children achieve their learning goals. Building on your experience working with children, demonstrating creativity, flexibility, and effective communication skills. Providing clear and sensitive communication with families, addressing their concerns and questions. Participating actively in regular staff meetings, bringing questions, ideas, and concerns to the group for open discussion. Completing required training and coaching annually to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in early childhood education.

Requirements

Preferred:

Associate's degree or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification Minimum Requirement:

High school diploma and experience working with children aged 2-5 Full-time position, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Health check required Fingerprinting required Background check required Three references required

including one from an employer, student teaching supervisor, or volunteer coordinator if possible

Nice To Haves Previous experience working with children aged 2-5 is highly valued CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory
