Site Civil Designer/Engineer

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Civil Designer or Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development team in Raleigh. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical abilities, a solid understanding of site design principles, and experience working on private or public land development projects within a consulting environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare site civil design plans, including site layout, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, utilities, and erosion control Complete Stormwater Management Designs Develop construction documents, reports, and technical calculations Assist with permitting processes at local and state levels Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams Support design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use development projects Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline 5–7 years of experience in land development within a consulting firm Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12–18 months Excellent communication and teamwork skills What We Offer Opportunities to work on diverse and impactful development projects We will encourage you to grow and develop your career with us through our career mapping, ongoing training, and career development program.
