Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care, System Float Pool Req #: 0000250827 Category: Nurses Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Services Department: IMCU Float Pool Pay Range: $49.28 – $62.26 per hour Location: 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052 System Wide Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced RNs to join our System-Wide Float Pool. In this role, RNs have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad scope of patient care within their specialty area while working assignments at each of the sites throughout our system. The RNs support the team and the patients at each site for an average of three months per assignment. This is an opportunity to float throughout the entire RWJBH system. Enhanced Float Differentials are offered. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing strongly preferred Minimum of three (3) years of intermediate care experience in a hospital setting; demonstrated expertise in intermediate care field Current New Jersey RN licensure required BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH certification preferred PCCN preferred Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be an effective role model to others Flexibility and adaptability essential to meet system staffing needs as required Travel required to various hospital-based facilities within RWJBarnabas Health System Average site assignment is three (3) months (less or more); assignment length will be based upon facility need Successful completion of all Orientation Programs Certifications and Licenses Required Current New Jersey RN licensure required BLS and ACLS certifications required Scheduling Requirements 36 hours per week Day shift Essential Functions Possess exemplary critical care skill and knowledge with professionalism, cooperation and accountability Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care Support the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of RWJBarnabas Health and the Department of Patient Care Services Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, JCAHO requirements and other regulatory agencies Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning Participate in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities Other duties may be assigned as needed Benefits and Perks At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees' physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
