Network Field Technician

Job Description Network Field Technician will install and maintain our resellers and end-user customers. These positions involve exposure to voice technologies, IT, and contact center software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to interface in technical and non-technical terms to resellers and end-user customers’ IT staff. The main purpose of this field position is the installation, acceptance, lineup, and maintenance of microwave, multiplex, fiber optic, or other auxiliary equipment that comprises the company’s network. Responsibilities include climbing and performing work on communications towers and building rooftops to accept, test, and maintain microwave radio systems; coordinating required activities with the Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel in the isolation and resolution of network problems; working as part of a cross‑functional team to conduct routine preventative and corrective maintenance activities to support Network Deployment, Performance, and Reliability initiatives; troubleshooting problems on their own related to the network; providing process improvement input as needed; administering an intermediate level analysis for fault isolation as it pertains to wireless, fiber optics, T‑1, telemetry, and voice and data circuits; performing fiber terminations (mechanical terminations and fusion splicing), and running structured cable in many different building environments.
