As a contract manufacturer organization (CMO), we collaborate with innovators from some of the world's most successful brands.The Supply Chain Planning Manager leads the end-to-end planning function across the Cerritos, La Mirada, and Vista sites. This role translates customer demand and business priorities into an executable capacity and material constrained production plan, leads the planning team, and drives disciplined execution through accurate dates, clear priorities, material readiness, and cross-functional accountability.The Supply Chain Planning Manager owns the integrity of the integrated production plan and serves as the primary planning link among Manufacturing, Scheduling, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality, Warehouse, R&D, Finance, Inventory Control, and Commercial. The role is accountable for identifying constraints, establishing priorities, assigning ownership, escalating risks, and driving agreed actions to completion.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops, publishes, and maintains the master production schedule across facilities, work centers, and critical resources, balancing demand, capacity, labor, equipment, materials, quality status, lead times, and campaign requirements.Evaluates capacity and demand gaps and recommends actions such as facility transfers, shift changes, sequencing adjustments, inventory strategies, or approved external capacity to protect customer commitments.Establishes and enforces standards for production order creation, release, rescheduling, cancellation, and planning-date management within the ERP system.Owns the accuracy of planning dates, priorities, and commitments; monitor past-due, aging, and obsolete orders and ensure exceptions have a clear owner, action, and resolution date.Maintains alignment between customer demand, sales orders, production orders, inventory requirements, and production commitments.Ensures planned jobs are executable before release by confirming material availability, BOMs, formulas, routings, specifications, documentation, and quality requirements through the appropriate functional owners.Identifies and communicates material and readiness risks early, providing affected orders, customer impact, required actions, owners, and recovery dates.Maintains short, mid, and long-range capacity views; identifies bottlenecks and future constraints and recommends actions to improve service, throughput, and capacity utilization.Partners with the Operations Scheduling Manager to translate the master plan into a finite, executable schedule and maintains alignment between planning priorities and detailed production sequencing.Partners with Procurement and Inventory Control on material requirements, inventory targets, safety stock, material risk, and excess or obsolete inventory.Provides accurate supply, capacity, inventory, and risk information for SIOP/S&OP, Latest Estimate, financial planning, and operating reviews.Leads recurring planning reviews that identify constraints, establish priorities, assign accountable owners and due dates, and track actions through closure.Provides Operations with clear priorities, Procurement with time-phased demand and shortage priorities, Customer Service with realistic completion dates and recovery plans, and Leadership with visibility to capacity, backlog, service, inventory, and risk.Leads, coaches, and develops planners by establishing clear responsibilities, workload priorities, performance expectations, cross-training, and standard work.Standardizes planning processes, calendars, escalation routines, and ERP practices across sites.Uses data and root-cause analysis to reduce planning errors, schedule volatility, late releases, material driven downtime, inaccurate dates, and preventable past due orders.Drives system and process improvements that strengthen ERP discipline, planning visibility, data accuracy, and decision-making.QualificationsDemonstrated experience managing high-volume production planning across multiple facilities, work centers, or shared resources.Strong knowledge of MRP, master production scheduling, finite capacity planning, inventory strategy, manufacturing lead times, and capacity management.Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to translate planning data into clear decisions and actions.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional reviews, resolve competing priorities, identify risks early, and drive accountability across functions without relying solely on positional authority.Strong enterprise mindset with the ability to balance customer service, capacity, inventory, cost, and operational constraints when making planning decisions.Strong execution discipline and follow-through, with the ability to establish clear priorities, owners, deadlines, and recovery actions.Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions, address performance gaps, identify root causes, and drive corrective action.Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex constraints, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to both operational teams and leadership.Experience planning bulk manufacturing and packaging operations with shared resources and campaign constraints preferred.Experience with SYSPRO or comparable manufacturing ERP, Power BI, and/or finite scheduling tools preferred.Experience supporting SIOP/S&OP, Latest Estimate, new-product introductions, change control, or inventory optimization preferred.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.7+ years of progressive supply chain, operations, production planning, or materials planning experience; in a complex nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, or another FDA-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.2+ years of direct leadership experience, including coaching, workload management, and performance accountability.APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP, Lean Six Sigma certification, or equivalent planning education preferred.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
