Machine Operator (ENTRY LEVEL CNC OPERATOR $24.15/HOUR)

This role involves operating CNC machines in a small aerospace shop environment, working with precision hinges and small parts for aircraft doors. You will set up and run CNC equipment, perform minor inspections using measuring tools, and support general shop operations to ensure high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce small aerospace parts, including hinges for aircraft doors, according to specifications and production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements for each part.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers and other hand tools to perform minor inspections and verify part dimensions.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make basic adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform basic machine checks and ensure the work area and equipment remain clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with general shop helper duties as needed, including handling parts, preparing materials, and supporting other machine operators.
• Follow established shop procedures and quality standards to ensure consistent and accurate production.
• Report any issues with machines, tools, or parts to the appropriate personnel to minimize downtime.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment OR SOLID TENRUE AS A MACHINE OPERATOR
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for machined parts.
• Proficiency using measuring tools such as calipers and other basic inspection instruments.
• Familiarity with hand tools and wrenches used in machine operation and basic adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting small aerospace parts for accuracy and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established shop procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in an aerospace or precision machining environment.
• Background as a CNC operator or shop helper supporting machine operations.
• Comfort working with small parts and tight tolerances.
• Willingness to learn additional machining and inspection techniques as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.15 - $24.15/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
