Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM Sunday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts or local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and observe for security‑related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas for unusual behavior, access concerns, or policy violations, while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by reporting suspicious activity, assisting with incident response, and following post orders related to an armed patrol assignment. Minimum Requirements: Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
