Hybrid PR Associate - Media Research & Pitching

Position is hybrid if living in the DMV, remote if not living in the DMV. On-site days are Mondays and Wednesdays in Alexandria, VA. Additional on-site days may occasionally be required for quarterly Company Collaboration Days and for client and team meetings. This position requires an individual with the following: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience 2+ years of PR experience (exclusive of internships); agency experience a big plus Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for details, strong writing and communication skills Creativity, self-motivation and excellent organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, collaborative and team-oriented environment Problem-solving capabilities and inclination to seek answers to address challenges Responsibilities for this position include: Conducting reliable and accurate media and blogger research (editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media/analyst list development) and providing teams with industry-relevant news and research Securing client media opportunities in trade, consumer, business media and other outlets Producing strong written documents, including pitches, speaking opportunity abstracts, client communications and general business writing Monitoring clients’ social media presence and draft social media posts on behalf of clients (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) Collaborating with vendors and managing work product Producing client status reports and briefing materials for meetings Actively participating in client/internal meetings, offering creative ideas/solutions #J-18808-Ljbffr BRG Communications
