Lawn Doctor in Washingtonville, NY is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lawn Care Technician for a temporary position through November 1st , with the opportunity to return for a permanent seasonal position beginning in March .

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in doing quality work, and is interested in building a career in lawn care.

Schedule: 3–5 days per week
Start Time: 7:30 AM daily
Position: Temporary through November 1st, with potential for seasonal employment beginning in March

What We're Looking For

The right candidate should:

• Be physically fit and comfortable performing outdoor labor

• Be dependable and able to arrive at work by 7:30 AM

• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

• Be comfortable driving a work truck and finding customer addresses

• Be able to work efficiently and independently

• Be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

• Be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly

• Take pride in providing quality service to customers

• Have a strong work ethic and reliable attendance

Previous lawn care or landscaping experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person .

What You'll Do

As a Lawn Care Technician, you'll work directly with homeowners to help them maintain healthy, green lawns. Your responsibilities may include:

• Applying professional lawn treatments, including fertilizer and weed control

• Performing lawn aeration, overseeding, and power seeding

• Providing mosquito, tick, and outdoor pest control treatments

• Operating lawn care equipment and company vehicles safely

• Following daily routes and efficiently completing scheduled services

• Communicating with customers and answering basic lawn-care questions

• Making recommendations to help customers improve the health of their lawns

• Maintaining accurate service records and route documentation

• Helping with equipment maintenance, shop organization, and daily preparation

• Meeting productivity and service-quality expectations

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

• Ability to work independently and stay on schedule

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

• Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment and machinery

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures

Experience That Helps

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Lawn care or landscaping

• Turf management or grounds maintenance

• Fertilizer or weed-control applications

• Pest, mosquito, or tick control

• Outdoor labor or field service

• Route-based service work

• Residential customer service
