FABR GLOBAL
Role: MEP Project Manager (Mission Critical / Data Centers) Compensation: $175,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package Position Overview Fabr Global is seeking a highly skilled MEP Project Manager with specialized experience in Mission Critical/Data Center construction to lead large-scale, high-density projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. As the second-largest data center market in the U.S., the DFW operations on behalf of well known US general contractor require a leader capable of managing complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that power the world’s leading cloud and AI providers. The MEP Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for technical delivery, responsible for overseeing the entire MEP lifecycle—from pre-construction and BIM coordination through to Integrated System Testing (IST) and final turnover. Key Responsibilities Direct the installation of critical MEP systems, including Medium Voltage distribution, UPS systems, backup generators, and advanced cooling (Chilled Water, CRAH, and Liquid Cooling/CDUs). Manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring work adheres to aggressive schedules and stringent quality standards unique to Tier III and IV facilities. Lead BIM/VDC coordination meetings to resolve multi-trade clashes; review submittals and shop drawings for long-lead equipment (e.g., switchgear, chillers). Partner with third-party commissioning agents to navigate Levels 1-5 of the commissioning process, ensuring successful black-building testing and IST. Manage the MEP budget, including bid leveling, change order negotiation, and monthly requisition approvals. Serve as the technical liaison between the Owner’s Rep, design engineers, and utility providers (Oncor) to ensure seamless power and water interconnections. Required Qualifications Minimum 7–10 years of experience in MEP construction management, with at least 3–5 years dedicated to Data Centers or similar Mission Critical environments. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. Deep understanding of high-density power requirements and cooling topologies. Proficiency in BIM/VDC software (Navisworks, Revit) for clash detection. Familiarity with LEED, Uptime Institute standards, and NEC/NFPA codes. Exceptional ability to manage fast-track schedules and lead high-stakes technical meetings. Base Salary: $175,000 per year. (Negotiable depending on experience) Annual performance bonus (typically 10–20% of base) based on project delivery, safety, and budget metrics. Competitive vehicle allowance and fuel card. Premium medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, and professional development/PE licensure support. Why Dallas? Dallas-Fort Worth is currently undergoing a supercycle of data center investment, with capacity expected to double by the end of 2026. This role offers long-term stability and the opportunity to work on the frontier of AI infrastructure development. #J-18808-Ljbffr FABR GLOBAL
