Entry-Level Cable Technician / Installer (Data Center Project)

Dublin, Hilliard, & New Albany, OH (Must be open to all locations)

Contract-to-Hire | Long-Term Opportunity

$22–$26/hour

We are hiring Entry-Level Cable Technicians / Installers to support a large-scale, long-term data center infrastructure project. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a rapidly growing industry and gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and fiber environments.

You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, learning the fundamentals of low-voltage installation while contributing to high-impact, mission-critical builds.

• Pull, route, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cable following industry standards (TIA/EIA)
• Assist with RJ45 terminations and patch panel work
• Perform basic punch-downs for telecom systems with training and guidance
• Support cable labeling, organization, and identification processes
• Assist with cable testing using tools like Fluke and EXFO (training provided)
• Gain exposure to fiber optic cable handling and routing
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and supervisors

• Basic experience or familiarity with:
  • Low-voltage cabling
  • Cat5 / Cat6 cable installation
  • Construction or hands-on labor environments
• Willingness to learn structured cabling and telecom installation practices
• Ability to work on your feet, lift materials, and perform physical tasks
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

• Experience with:
  • Cable termination or punch-downs
  • Construction, warehouse, or labor-intensive roles
• Interest in building a career in telecommunications, data centers, or IT infrastructure

• Must be able to work at all three locations: Dublin, Hilliard, and New Albany
• Must not have previously been employed on-site (including warehouse or delivery roles)
• Ability to pass required onboarding screenings

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
