Phlebotomist/Processor

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Phlebotomist/Processor with excellent people skills to enhance our team. Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 11AM – 7:30PM Benefits:

In this role, you will be responsible for: * Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms. * Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening. * Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information. * Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity. * Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance. * Flexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations. * Reliability: Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:

* High school diploma or equivalent required Experience: * Prior hands-on experience in phlebotomy and/or pre-analytical specimen processing required Licensure/Certification:

• Ability to pass a standardized color vision test required
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred

Driving Requirements:

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Clean driving record

Duties may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a workbench, working on a computer, and repetitive hand motions. Physical requirements may include lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, reaching, and occasional stress related to turnaround time pressures.
