SECURITY SPECIALIST

Job Title

Job duties include managing and administering personnel, physical, industrial, and sensitive/classified information security programs. You will monitor the operating effectiveness of internal security programs, apply knowledge of security regulations and policies to ensure security protection of documents, and assist in obtaining legal access to data needed to accomplish assigned tasks. You will initiate personnel security investigations with both Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of Energy (DOE) security offices, assess existing requirements and determine unknowns in formulating security policies, and be responsible for the analysis and resolution of conventional and unconventional personnel security problems, questions, and situations such as fitness for duty and suitability for employment, and access to restricted information.
