Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Psych Specialty: RN Psych Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Experience in mental health or substance use treatment Description: The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients in a fast-paced, multi-faceted department. These responsibilities include observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs. Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients. Completes physical and mental health assessments as indicated by regulations. Administers and monitors treatment regimens. Administers prescribed medications. Observes and reports behavioral changes. Maintains control of medications and drugs. Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the nursing staff and providers. Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting. Direct care provided by licensed practical nurses. Respects cultural and religious practices of patients. Ensures regulatory compliance. Collaborates with management and care providers in quality assessment, assurance, and performance improvement activities.
