Treasury Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

Generalist position providing support to the accounting and operations teams to include but not limited to: Treasury – Provide back up and support for treasury functions Receive and post deposits/wires in SoftPro Verify and research discrepancies Identify and document root cause issues Process checks/wires for all attorney approved disbursements Reconcile bank accounts within multiple systems and banks Accounts Payable – Provide back up and support for accounts payable Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Sort and distribute incoming mail and email Process check requests Respond to all vendor and operation inquiries Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately Reconciling balance sheet accounts Prepare monthly reconciliations Research and resolve unreconciled items Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset subsidiary ledgers Assist in reconciling subsidiary ledger by physical location Job Requirements High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred Must have strong work ethics & willing to work late if required to get the job done Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills Must be well organized and a self-starter Must be able to follow standard filing procedures Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office products Possess strong organizational and time management skills Ability to efficiently plan and prioritize multiple tasks Possess good organizational skills and attention to detail Overall positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner Team player and willing to provide assistance in multiple areas whenever is necessary Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet. Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers Identifies and solves issues in a timely manner. Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary. Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task. Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance. Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action.
